INE | Visiting Japan's Fishing Village & The Best Omurice by the Sea.

Join me on a summer trip to Ine, kyoto.
From Miyazu, I take a local bus that passes through quiet countryside roads before arriving at the small port. From there, I get on a sightseeing boat that goes around the bay — the view of Ine from the water is amazing. You can see rows of old wooden boathouses, called Funaya, built right above the sea.

After the boat ride, I walk around the village and go up to Yasaka Shrine for a better view of Ine. From up there, you can see the bay, especially beautiful in the late afternoon when the light hits the water.

The next morning, I come back to Ine to enjoy the calm morning atmosphere. It’s quiet and peaceful, just the sound of the waves and a few fishermen getting ready for the day. I take a slow walk around the harbor, see the Funaya up close, and enjoy the simple charm of this fishing village.

Before heading back to Kyoto, I stop for lunch and try the best omurice I’ve had on this trip, a perfect way to end this relaxing visit by the sea.
