In this video I take a tour of 14 Km, 14 minutes flight time, with the 6s2p 21700-P42 8'400 mAh molicel Li-ion battery pack. I tried some mountain top proximity (for my standards at least) passages, and a few dives down to the valley.
I used 4.000mah in the flight, which means I could have made this trip twice with the same battery.
This time I forgot to set the DJI air unit power level back to 1.200mw, so I started the flight with 25mw. Because of that I had to turn back right away, hover for a sec, set the power level to 1200 and then restart the climb. ALWAYS CHECK THE CROSSFIRE AND AIR UNIT POWER LEVEL BEFORE ANY FLIGHT!
Video footage is from a Gopro Hero 6 with firmware 1.6.

The GoPro video segments were joined with Reelsteady joiner: https://github.com/rubegartor/ReelSte...
and then smoothed with Reelsteady GO ( https://www.reelsteady.com/pages/go-d... ), Smoothness 2 ticks to the left from the center, pan speed all the way to the right. The video overlay was made using Dashware. All up weight in this test was 1.622 grams.
Motors: 4x Racerstar AirA 2508 BP 1.200kv long range. They are decent for their price, but definitly undersized for this build. You need 2806.5 or 2810 motors to properly drive 1.600 grams of drone. I'll see what I can do next time.
