ओंगि युलगळन्द उत्तमन् पेर् पाडि,
नांगळ् नं पावैक्कुच्चाट्रि नीराडिनाल्,
तींगिन्रि नाडेल्लां तिंगळ् मुम्मारि पेय्दु,
ओंगु पेरुं शेन्नेलूडु कयलुगळ,
पूंगुवळैप्पोदिल् प्पोरिवण्डु कण्पडुप्प,
तेंगादे पुक्किरुन्दु शीर्त मुलैपट्रि वांग,
क्कुडं निरैक्कुं वळ्ळल् पेरुं पशुक्कळ्,
नींगाद शेल्वं निरैन्देलोरेम्बावाय् ॥ ३ ॥
यदि हम त्रिविक्रम (वामन) बनकर तीनों लोक नापने वाले परम-उत्तम विष्णु का नाम गाते हुए, पावै-व्रत के नियम से भोर-स्नान करें, तो देश भर में अविराम और समय पर वर्षा होगी; धान की फसलें ऊँची-ऊँची लहराएँगी; नहरों में मछलियाँ खुशी से तैरेंगी; कमल-वनों में भौरे मत्त होंगे; गोशालाओं में उदार गायें इतना दूध देंगी कि घड़े भर जाएँ—और समाज में कभी घटने न वाली समृद्धि और कल्याण बना रहेगा.
“उत्तमन”—वामन-त्रिविक्रम का संकेत
‘ओङ्गि उलगलन्ध’—यह वामन के त्रिविक्रम-स्वरूप का स्मरण है: एक पग धरती, दूसरा स्वर्ग, तीसरा—अहंकारी बलि का मस्तक. आंडाल कहती हैं: उस परम-श्रेष्ठ का नाम गाओ—यही समष्टि-कल्याण का मूल है.
त्रिविक्रम के नाम का कीर्तन केवल निजी पुण्य नहीं, सार्वजनिक कल्याण का द्वार खोलता है—समय पर वर्षा, अन्न-समृद्धि, जैव-विविधता और करुणा से भरा समाज.
“जहाँ नाम-स्मरण और धर्म है, वहाँ वर्षा-चक्र, अन्न-चक्र और दया-चक्र अविराम चलते हैं.”
