"Security and Liberty: Is Big Brother Alive and Well?"
This TED Talk will examine the issue of the delicate balance between security and liberty by examining federal government action over the decades which have impacted our civil liberties in times of crisis. Emphasis will be placed on examining recent revelations about the use of drones to target suspected terrorists, including American citizens and the NSA's operations, including PRISM which have provided surveillance of American emails and Internet usage in the name of national security. The question which will be examined is whether Big Brother is alive and well? Is paranoia eroding our privacy?
