Hi, Friends Aaj mein South Indian ek dum simple and tasty sambhar banane ki vidhi hindi mei dikkathi hoon . Here is my recipe for South Indian Authentic Sambar. I this video I will show you, how to make Kerala sambar at home very easily.

What is simple south Indian Kerala Sambar?

Our simple Sambar is totally different from hotel style sambars that you see outside of Kerala. Kerala's authentic sambar will be thicker and it has a different authentic flavor. Please note my Hindi is not perfect so if you guys have any questions or doubts then you can ask me in the comment box. I will definitely try to reply.

Ingredients for Kerala Onam Sadya Special Simple and Tasty South Indian Sambar

Toor Dal Half Cup (100 g)
Tomato 2 Nos(Med Size)(160 g)
Okra(Bhindi) 5 Nos (60 g)
Potato(Aloo) 2 Nos(Med Size) (230 g)
Onion 2 Nos(Med Size)(150 g)
Green Chilli 2 Nos
Curry Leaves(Optional) 1 Nos
Turmeric Powder 2 to 3 Pinch
Tamarind 15 g + half cup hot water for Tamarind Juice
Salt to Taste

For Tempering

Coconut Oil 2 tablespoon
Mustard Seeds Half tablespoon
Garlic 3 cloves
Dry Red Chilli 2 Nos
Corriander Leaves(Optional) Small bunch
Sambar Masala Powder 2.5 tablespoon
Red Chilli Powder (Optional) 1 tablespoon
