This is a (mostly) gentle and serene piece that conjures up visions of elegant and beautiful deer peacefully grazing and ambling around, but then suddenly have an urge to frolic around wildly, until they just as suddenly think better of it, break off mid-prance, and revert to their peaceful grazing, looking all demure and innocent, as if to say "What? Cavort around like a mad thing? Me? Never!"
It's not a difficult piece, even for harpists who haven't been playing long, and can be made even easier by leaving the fast and frolicsome section out – instructions for how to do this are in the printed score and parts.
The sheet music is available, as are all my ensembles (currently more than 50), from Creighton's Collection (https://www.creighton-griffiths.co.uk...) or your usual harp music supplier.
