In this video, I will go over all the things we need to setup, to start creating 3D Scenes and possible games, using 3D Sprites and Plains for floors. First I briefly go over Shaders, then how 3D shapes are created and their parts. Then I go over how to load images and use them as sprite sheets and finally I go over a simple 1st person camera. With all this you should be able to create some fun 3D scenes using 3D Sprites and plains.
You may want to brush up on some OpenGL basics, if you want a more in depth description of what matrix are, as I don't go into detail in this video on them.
Check out learnopengl.com to get some more information on texture mapping, projection, view and model view matrix. But don't both to look in to the shaders as they are not the same as the 3DS. Some information on meshes could also be useful.
