Shalgam Gosht is a bold and flavorful Pakistani curry made with turnips and mutton or lamb, slow-cooked to perfection with a blend of fragrant spices. A recipe which must be tried during the winter season as turnips are a seasonal vegetable.

Ingredients (Serves 2/4):
650g leg of lamb on the bone cut into medium sized peices
500g turnips peeled and quartered
250g onions finely sliced
250g tomatoes roughly chopped
80ml oil
1/2 tablespoon of:
Salt
Coriander powder and Kashmiri chilli powder
1 teaspoon of:
Regular chilli powder
Turmeric
1/2 tablespoon of garam masala
1 frozen peice each of ginger and garlic cubes
4 bullet chillies (optional)
Fresh coriander
Water to use as and when needed
