उपवास विशेष आप्पे आणि चटणी करण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य
आप्पे
• १/४ कप / ४५ ग्रॅम साबुदाणा
• १ कप / १५० ग्रॅम वरई
• ३~४ हिरव्या मिरच्या
• आल्याचा तुकडा
• १/४ चमचा जिरं (ऐच्छिक)
• १/३ कप / ८० ग्रॅम दही
• १/३ कप / १०० ग्रॅम किसलेला लाल भोपळा (ऐच्छिक)
• चवीनुसार मीठ
• १ कप / १०० मिली पाणी
• १ चमचा इनो फ्रुट सॉल्ट
• जरुरीनुसार साजूक तूप
चटणी
• १/२ कप / १०० मिली दही
• १/४ कप / ५० ग्रॅम भाजलेल्या शेंगदाण्याचं कूट
• १/२ चमचा लाल तिखट
• चवीनुसार मीठ

Ingredients:
Appe
• 1/4 cup / 45 gm Sabudana
• 1 cup / 150 gm Varai
• 3~4 Green chilies
• Ginger knob
• 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds (Optional)
• 1/3 cup /80 gm Curd
• 1/3 cup / 100 gm grated Pumpkin (Optional)
• Salt to taste
• 1 cup / 100 ml Water
• 1 tsp Eno fruit salt
• Ghee as needed
Chutney
• 1/2 cup /100 ml Curd
• 1/4 cup / 50 gm roasted Peanut powder
• 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
• Salt to taste
Method:
• Blend sabudana into coarse powder in blender and add varai.
• Bland it well together and add green chilies.
• Blend it well together into coarse powder and take it out into a bowl.
• Add cumin seeds, curd, pumpkin, salt and water to make a little thick batter
• Adding cumin seeds and pumpkin is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want. You can use grated
potato in place of pumpkin.
• Cover and rest the batter for 10 minutes.
• Mix the batter well once and add fruit salt. Mix in quickly.
• You can use 1/2 tsp baking soda in place of fruit salt.
• Heat up appe patra on medium heat and add ghee in each mold.
• Add a spoonful batter in each mold.
• Cover and roast the appe until lower side gets nice golden color.
• Open the lid and add ghee on the appe.
• Flip the appe over and roast well from other side too.
• When appe are roasted well from bothe sides, take them out into a dish. Upwasache appe are
ready.
Chutney
• Blend curd, roasted peanut powder, red chili powder and salt well together in mixer and take it out
into a dish. Upwasachi chutney is ready.
