In this video we compare various types of tools used to crimp the lugs for large wires. We have a hammer crimper, a lever-style crimper, a hydraulic, and finally a powered hydraulic crimper.
Many people have in the past complained that they have to use a die a size smaller than usual for the hydraulic style crimpers, so we did all of the tests in both the size 50 (typical for 1/0) as well as one size smaller @ 35 - then cut them in half.
