Abhishek Poddar is an industrialist, prominent art collector, and the founder of the Museum of Art & Photography, India’s first major private art museum. Since the early 1980s, he has actively built one of the most notable collections of South Asian art, craft, and antiquities. Throughout his journey, he has engaged with and been inspired by renowned contemporary artists such as M.F. Husain, Manjit Bawa, and others. In 2018, Forbes recognised him as one of Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy.
