Here’s a double-tracked vocals version of the natural vocals remix of 'The Word' that I posted earlier. Please click the link above to hear the natural vocals remix version. This alternate listen is for those who enjoyed the original remix but preferred the fuller sound of double-tracked vocals.
In the official stereo version, the doubled vocals were placed in the left channel—here, they’ve been shifted to the right. All vocal harmonies are still wide-panned, as in the official stereo version, and double-tracked, reminiscent of a Beach Boys-style mix. The instrumentation remains unchanged from the first remix, with the bass and drums still holding a powerful center, giving the track a funkier feel.
Neither remix is meant to be "better" than the other—just different perspectives on the song. Personally, I enjoy both, and it’s great to have options! Thanks for listening to both versions!
