Wightrider 2025 Isle of Wight Bus Museum

Vintage buses and coaches in action at the 2025 Wightrider event as I made my first visit. Buses from the Isle of Wight Bus Museum and visiting buses ran trips around the historic sites on the island. These included Quarr Abbey, Godshill Old Smithy, Shanklin Old Village, Newport and the donkey sanctuary at Wroxall.
Over 50 buses took part with such a variety from Leyland, Bristol, Volvo and AEC and others from the museum and guests. The action centres on Ryde with the buses arriving and departing. Also there is action at Quarr Abbey, Ryde Esplanade, Godshill and Newport. The film is longer than usual to cover both days. Look out at 23.47 for the Leyland TD1. Did the driver know his cab door had flung open?
