So this weekends captures feature 37240 & 7029 Clun Castle on one of her final mainline tours before overhaul begins.
I started the day at Small Heath Station for the ECS move into Birmingham New Street where 37240 absolutely thrashes through with 7029 Clun Castle at the rear.
I could of stayed there for the 37 to come around via Five Ways and 7029 Clun Castle to arrive behind via grand junction to reattach behind 37240to be taken onto London Paddington but I decided I'd risk Dorridge with the hope they may of came through platform one but unfortunately they were routed into platform three and out again without stopping so was a bit disappointing with that.
After that I jumped on the following train into Birmingham Moor Street before changing onto Birmingham New Street to get to Lichfield Trent Valley with a planned 10 minutes to spare before 34028 Eddystone came through, luckily a few minutes behind schedule so enough time to get set up ready.
I stayed there for a little while also capturing a pair of Class 90s and also 378203 from the London Overground line which was unusual to see.
After that I headed home for a while before I ventured back out, I had gone to Bromsgrove for just a shot there but due to the late departure at Bristol I wouldn't of made it home so I left and went back closer to home at Acocks Green Station for 7029 Clun Castle to pass there before I quickly made it down to Widney Manor Station for the ECS back to Tyseley Steam Trust with 37240 leading.
