Crawford Watch Repair - Part 1

This is the first in a series of videos in which I will service the A. Schild 1187 movement in a Crawford watch from the 1960s. In this video, I will disassemble the watch and its movement.

I found out that there was a watch brand in the 1940's, 50s, and 60s called Crawford. My name! I had to have one, and like most vintage watches, the 1960s-era Crawford watch that I bought needs serviced. You'll get to watch me service the movement and restore it to good running condition.

Like the Andre Bouchard watch I worked on recently, this has a Swiss-made AS 1187 Movement. The case is identical, too; so I suspect that they were made by the same manufacturer. Both brands were American companies that imported watches and put their names on them.
