Ingredients:
பச்சை பயறு/Sprouted Green gram -2cups
Onion/வெங்காயம் -2
Tomato/தக்காளி -2
Green chillies/பச்சைமிளகாய் -2
Turmeric powder/மஞ்சள்பொடி. -1tsp
Chaat powder/சாட் பொடி. -1/2tsp
Red chilli powder/சிவப்பு மிளகாய்பொடி-1 tsp
Salt /உப்பு To taste
Thin sev/மெல்லிய சேவ். -2 tsp
Coriander leaves/கொத்தமல்லி. -3tsp
Oil/எண்ணை. 2 to 3 tsp
Lemon. 1/2 to 1 tsp( optional)or 1 tsp of thick curd for children.
Method: Boil green sprouts in cooker with water for 1 whistle.(after washing the green gram soak it for 8 to 9 hrs.drain the water and keep it in fridge.Do not throw this water as it contains all nutrition of green gram.u have to add this water when u boil sprouts with normal water)water should not be much as that makes the sprouts squishy.
Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds, 1/2 onion,1/2 tomato,green chilli,and sprouts. Mix it with salt,red chilli powder and turmeric powder and sauté.keep it for 3 to 4 minutes and sprout is ready. Serve in a bowl, add raw onion, tomato, chaat powder,coriander leaves ,thin sev and 1 tsp of lemon(optional) and enjoy tasty sprouts!
