Day 2 - 29 August Mulling to Kara
Distance : Approx 6 km
Altitude Gain : Mulling 3250mt (10636 ft ) and Kara is Approx 3550m ( 11653 )
300 Mt (1017 ft ).
Day two the trek took us from Mulling to Kara- a moderate trek, made easier by a slightly lighter rucksack and the amazing company.
I was joined by Sahil ( whom I met on Day 1) and the mountain dog obviously. The distance wasn't too much, so we kept the relaxed pace, longer stopover soaking in the landscape and conversations.
Along the way Sahil shared insights on possible routes, and we talked about local customs and the region's deep- rooted belief in local gods- a humbling reminder of the spiritual connection the people have with these mountains.
A surprising highlight was finding a spot with mobile signal. I even managed to call home.
We reached Kara, rested well, had an early dinner, and called it a day.
