Strawberry Rag | Strings and Reeds by NUS Guitar Ensemble

Strawberry Rag, performed by NUS Guitar Ensemble as part of Strings and Reeds: A Meadow in Melody, held at NUS University Cultural Centre Theatre, Singapore, on 22nd March 2025.

Strawberry Rag is one of several compositions by Yuudai Hatanaka in his collection of confectionery-themed pieces known as the Sweets Suite. Composed for Niibori small group, this whimsical and energetic ragtime piece features a flurry of fast, syncopated melodies punctuated by quirky, playful embellishments that takes the ears for a delightful and thrilling ride.

About us 🎸
NUS Guitar Ensemble (GENUS) is a student-run guitar ensemble located in the National University of Singapore, and a member of NUS Centre For the Arts.
