South Louisiana Speckled Trout Spring Pattern Tips and Techniques:
After a few weeks of no fishing because of Wild Turkey season, I started my new season off in a familiar place....a long stretch of rocks. For a number of years, this area has gotten me off to a good start, and this year was no exception. This is a popular community area so you better bring your A game and a bucket load of patience. The jerk bait was producing for me right off the bat. This is one of my favorite ways to catch them so I wasn't disappointed. Thanks for coming along!

I fish artificial lures and mostly in the marshes and lakes on the east side of the Mississippi River in South Louisiana for Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Largemouth Bass.
