Recorded on 11-23-25. Signal on the right features 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 "Hawker Siddeley" incandescent lights mounted on Safetran light brackets, Safetran single sided signal base, Safetran gate mechanism, and 3 RECO 4 inch LED gate lights. Signal on the left features 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 "Hawker Siddeley" incandescent lights mounted on a Safetran light bracket, Safetran single sided signal base, Safetran gate mechanism, Safetran Type 3 "Low Tone" E-Bell, and 3 RECO 4 inch LED gate lights.
After catching the stacktrain in Fleming, we headed back over to the highway so we could get ahead of the train in hopes to catching him again over in Carrollton despite the foggy conditions that were present. Initially we thought our chase of the train was looking to be a huge bust because of not only the fog, but also the slow traffic that we got stuck behind on the highway. Fortunately the fog was beginning to lighten up a bit and eventually we got ahead of the train to the point that we managed to make it to Carrollton in time so we could film the train again at one of the crossings I've been wanting to get a video of since my first trip to this area back in late May. Crossing itself features a pair of older Safetran signals that were originally installed sometime around the 1990s by NS with some small changes that occurred around the 2000s/2010s. Originally this crossing would've had a Safetran Mechanical Bell at one point, but NS has long since replaced it with the current Safetran Type 3 and the gate lights would've been incandescent at some point as well, but NS has since replaced those with the current LED gate lights. Like with Junk Yard Rd, and the lone NS signal at Eldon Rd, this crossing is another one on this line that has the bell ring while the gates are lowering, and rising which is a nice change to see as most crossings on this line (outside of the BNSF signals in KC, and Randolph) have their bells only ring as the gates are lowering. I'm glad to finally get a video of this one in action as it was one I've been wanting to record in action since my first visit to this town back in the summer as I mentioned above.
