Remember this: when instability goes up, force output goes down.
There are far too many coaches, trainers, and athletic centers promoting pseudo-exercise with promises of their elite athlete training systems :)
I look around, and social media is literally swamped with exercise inaccuracies. Thousands of accounts with millions of followers who are all blindsided to the realities.
Well, I'm here to shed some light on the subject and to try and help people make sense and become enlightened athletes and coaches that will have their training on point and reduce that risk of being added to the dreaded injury roster.
We could go so far as to say that it's malpractice and it is being pushed onto a gullible people unknowingly.
And for the record, I've done years of 'functional training.' I've trained with the best in the world, personally. I came through it all with more questions than answers, and after many years, I realised the follies of my ways.
The video says it all but
• Instability caps force
• Low force = low transfer
• Sport skill belongs in the sport
All of the functional exercise I put my time and effort into that expended my life force was just wasted exercise. I listened to poor-quality information and, like most, was suckered into a spiraling system of exercise that was the opposite of what I needed.
Injuries galore that could have been avoided if only I knew then what I know now.
