The name 'Super Chief' ranks high among the classic streamliners of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. With an instantly recognizable name and just as famous paint scheme on the locomotives that pulled it, the Super Chief's reputation was well-earned. It was the best passenger experience the Santa Fe could offer. Santa Fe also tried their hand at fast freight trains, the most well known was the Super C, a trailer train that ran at passenger speeds and charged shippers a premium to get their trailers on board.
Let's look at model representations of both these legendary fast trains in HO scale.
