Our day trip to Enoshima with temples, treats & a quiet escape by the sea

Just a short train ride from Tokyo, Enoshima is a small island with a mix of seaside views, local food, and traditional shrines. It was the perfect spot for a slow winter day away from the city.

We started with lunch at a small Japanese diner in Kamakura, then walked through the bridge to reach the Enoshima, where we explored the shrine grounds and pulled our omikuji fortunes overlooking the ocean. After trying some local sweets on the hill, we made our way to a cozy retro café filled with vintage collectibles. We ended the day with a quiet sunset by the sea before heading back to Tokyo for sukiyaki.
