As the track works to connect the East Coast Integrated Depot to the East West Line and the new platforms at Tanah Merah have been completed, normal train services between Tampines and Bedok, as well as between Tanah Merah and Expo, will resume on 8 December 2025 instead of 9 December 2025.
With Shutdown 2 now completed, only one more Shutdown remains. Shutdown 3(SD3), scheduled to take place in the first half of 2026, will disconnect Changi Depot(CHD) from the East West Line. After SD3, CHD will be decommissioned and subsequently demolished.
