This week, we taste a warm fermented Amber Lager by Mike.
This is a follow up beer to my Golden Lager that was fermented with lager yeast at 75+ degrees Fahrenheit. This Amber beer was fermented around 68F and finished in the lower 60s. It fermented for a month.
This beer is really mostly Pilsner and Light Munich Malt. I used some chocolate rye and Carafa Special II only for color. I don't think the beer picker up much flavor from those last two malts.
This beer is going to benefit from some cooler conditioning time in the keg. Hopefully it hits its prime for year end! Cheers!
