Today we're looking for the wreath flowers of the Western Australian mid-west.
This is the third installment for our series on the wildflowers of the midwest region of WA and we're ending on a beauty. The wreath flowers, Lechenaultia macrantha, is a fantastic annual plant the grows new every year and when it flowers the blooms form a beautiful ring that looks just like a natural wreath. As if this wasn't spectacular enough, the wreath flowers like to grow in open areas like the edges of roads and on mass!
We take a look at these beautiful endemic plants and discover one of their secrets that can only be seen in ultraviolet.
