My first attempt at a flip and drag led to something other than I'd expected. Getting the finished painting I wanted was a blast and taught me a few things. See how I removed paint, changed inner and outer edges, and got one of my favorite paintings to date. I used the primary colors of the printing world: cyan, magenta and yellow. Blue dominated but did it beautifully!

I thank you in advance for wanting to keep this channel going. It means a lot to me.
Once my paintings dry, I spray them with a low odor, user-friendly, crystal clear, varnish designed for acrylics, oils and watercolors. It gives a glossy finish.

When I want a matte/satin finish instead, I use this spray: http://2fvgYF0
For this painting I used :
Liquitex Ink - Cerulean Blue Hue
Golden Fluids - Quinacridone Magenta
Decoart MEDIA Fluid Acrylic - Hansa Yellow Light
Artist’s Loft Flow Acrylic White for the negative space and in the dirty pour
This is my usual formula for all the paint:
--- 1 part paint to 5 parts Floetrol (but 2 parts paint to 5 parts Floetrol works well too)
--- I then add a little water if necessary to get my paint to be the consistency of really warm honey, or like heavy cream. Flow acrylic (runny like house paint) or acrylic ink will need very little water if any, while medium to heavy body paint (thick like toothpaste) will need more water. I always try to limit the amount of water that I use ... too much will break down the binding properties of the acrylic paint. How much is too much? I try to keep the amount of water under 50% of the amount of paint.
** Out of curiosity, I tried 4 parts Floetrol, 1 part Elmer's Glue-All, and 1 part paint. (Note: I saw no appreciable difference in the finished piece.) **
There was two to three drops of silicone in the cyan, magenta, and yellow but not in the white.
My favorite silicone is "3 in1 All Temp Silicone", available at most hardware stores.
This was done on an 8x10 inch canvas and the pour utilized no more than 80 ml of the paint/Floetrol mix (under two ounces).
Thank you in advance for watching the videos, sharing them, commenting and leaving a thumbs up. Your kindness helps my channel continue and it is all greatly appreciated! May the alcohol inks, resin, and paints be kind, and may the pours be with you. 😊💕
