Oh yes! When I was around 16 years old, I’d stand over our old cast-iron skillet, turning canned biscuits into cinnamon-sugar donuts for my sister and every friend who wandered through the door. They would crowd around the stove, waiting for the next warm golden piece to land in the paper bag for a good shake! Today, the whole house smelled like sweetness and – childhood – and for a few minutes, I felt like I was running my own little donut shop!
You can twirl them on your finger to get the hole, you can use a small circle to pop out the middle and then have donut holes, you can shape them into a twist! Next time I make them, I will use all of my childhood imagination and make them all!
