Venice Italy Visit Description
April 2025
In Spring of 2025, we ventured on a 3-week trip to Northern Italy. We flew from our home in Portugal and landed in Milan, We took the Malpensa Express train from the airport to the Milan Centrale train station for our first city. We used the Trenitalia trains exclusively to proceed to our other destinations which included Venice, Bologna, Parma, Vignola/Modena and Florence. We departed from Florence by air back to our home in Portugal.
We created separate videos for each of the cities that we visited and a separate video for the Parma, Modena Ham Cheese & Balsamic tours.
This video is dedicated to the sights, foods and our experiences in Venice and the Venetian glass industry and glass-blowing operations on nearby Murano Island.
In this video, we made comments that the gondolas in Venice look like fiberglass or carbon fiber rather than wood. We received a viewer comment that the boats are indeed wood and have been covered with a new smooth coating that indeed looks like fiberglass.
