The tower of this church was completely rebuilt in the 19th century, and the bells were recast into a ring of eight in 1884 by Mears and Stainbank with a tenor of 13-3-0. They are a good eight but the extremely low ceiling makes for some odd acoustic effects. When you ring the treble you also get the tenor shouting through your ropehole just after you pull your backstroke!
