Explore Great How, a quiet but rewarding fell walk near Thirlmere, just south of Keswick in the Lake District. Although not a Wainwright, Great How is a fantastic short route that offers impressive views over Thirlmere and across to nearby Wainwright fells like Watson’s Dodd, Clough Head, and High Rigg.

Starting from a small lay-by on the old A591, this circular walk takes you through peaceful forestry tracks, scenic woodland, and up to the summit of Great How. With its modest height, it's an ideal walk for families, dog walkers, or anyone with limited time who still wants a great view.
