Stay Active 4 Diabetes was originally founded in 2022 by a team of Doctor of Physical Therapy students at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, under the guidance of Dr. Floyd Huang, PT, PhD. What began as a simple desire to support individuals living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes has evolved into a thoughtfully crafted program focused on empowering healthier lifestyles through movement and education.
Today, the project continues at Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas, still under the mentorship of Dr. Huang. With the same mission at its core, Stay Active 4 Diabetes remains committed to sharing evidence-based education on the connection between diabetes management and exercise—reaching and supporting more people on their wellness journey.
