This video will teach you how to get out of bed if you have low back pain. Through good intraabdominal stabilization and bracing, we can minimize the pain that you feel in the low back when rolling over in bed, sitting up, getting out of bed, or standing up from seated. This is only meant to be a temporary solution, and you shouldn't go around rocefully bracing your core for the rest of your life any time your move in an effort to protect your lower back against pain or injury. Eventually you want to ease back into normal spinal movements, and get used to bending and rotating gently, and eventually get back to normal exercise. Only while your low back pain is rather irritable with even slight movements is it helpful to use this bracing strategy from the DNS (dynamic neuromuscular stabilization) system.
