A nice morning on the farm. I started off the day putting on my wellies.
The first job of the day was to gather in a group of lambs that need weighed. They were quite a distance away from the farmyard so it took a bit of time using Swift the border collie to gather them in. The lambs are never that easy to move in and never seem to go where you want them to go! Once even jumped through a fence into a field next to the farm track. Once we got them back to the yard we moved them into the handling pens. The ones that were heavy enough were loaded up for being sold.
We also wormed a different group of lambs and then moved them back out to the field they were in before.
The next job was to sort out another group of ewes and lambs. We were separating the lambs and ewes.
Like usual there is always a fence to fix on the farm so I spent some time sorting out the top barbed wire.
The last job of the day was to start mucking out the cow sheds. It's not going to be long now until we will be bringing them in for the winter so we need to get all the sheds cleared over the next month.
I parked the quad up at the end of the day and took Swift in to get her well deserved food!
Thanks for watching!
