Power for Parkinson's dance instructor, Nancy Bain shares African dance movements that allow us to tell a story through dance. In Africa, ceremonial dance tells a story. More than mere entertainment, it recounts history, conveys emotion, celebrates rites of passage, and helps to unify communities. African dance and music have influenced western culture in profound ways and we are happy to celebrate Black history month by dancing together.
