Several years ago, I healed a shoulder injury without surgery. These are a few of the first exercises I used to bring that shoulder back into alignment — and back into action.
Whether you have a shoulder injury or just want to move and feel better, these will help your shoulders open naturally by strengthening the often-overlooked muscles in the back of the shoulder. That’s where most of us are weak — not because we don’t work hard, but because life (and common workouts) tend to overtrain the front of the body.
Most shoulder pain and imbalance come from too much strength in the front — the chest and front delts — and not enough support from behind. Think about how many pushups people do compared to how often they work their rotator cuff.
These 3 exercises will help you bring balance back to your shoulders, improve your posture, and move pain-free — whether you’re recovering from an injury or just want to keep your body strong and resilient.
