Viparita-Valkhilyasana is an Advance backbend asana that strengthens the entire posterior chain. Many practitioners struggle due to weak spinal extensors, tight hip flexors, limited back flexibility, or difficulty in holding because of pain, Balance and breathlessness. Key muscles involved are the erector spinae, gluteus maximus, hamstrings, and core stabilizers.
