Power up your legs and core for ski season with this 60 Minute Reformer workout by JessPFit
Level Rating: 3 (Intermediate)
Props: 10LB Kettlebell or Dumbbell, Reformer Box
Focus: Strength/resistance training for the lower half and core engagement/stability
Set-Up at the START of class:
2R + 1B ON (2 heavy + 1 light/med spring)
Footbar UP
Headrest DOWN
Reformer Box on floor
Foot Strap ON or available
Kettlebell or Dumbbell on box
Are you ready for ski season? Inspired by the request of a client I have created you a strength training session on the Reformer dedicated to all the strength and stability needed for your adventures on the slopes! Skiing is challenging and it’s quite the full body workout. Let me help prepare you and save you the some of the soreness associated with reintroducing this sport back into your life.
You can expect a strength focus as we practice lots of unilateral work, balance, rotation, deep knee flexion, quad and glute power, hip stability and endurance all with a 10lb weight! The core will be the powerhouse of all your movement as we challenge the body to perform.
You do not need to be a skier to enjoy or find the benefit in this workout. This workout is great for anyone and everyone! The intermediate level is due to the resistance of the weight and a significant amount of standing work on the Reformer. Modifications are provided.
