In this video, I’m sharing some of the most important insights from that podcast. You’ll learn why high achiever sleep problems are different from other types of insomnia. We’ll explore how your success traits can sometimes make it harder to rest, and what a real high achiever insomnia solution looks like in practice.
For over ten years, I’ve worked with ambitious professionals who want to know how to sleep better as a high achiever. Many of them tell me they can’t quiet their minds at night. That constant overthinking and insomnia pattern is often mixed with perfectionism and sleep problems. Even in bed, they try to do things perfectly instead of allowing rest to happen naturally.
Sleep isn’t about effort. It’s about awareness and learning new skills. The key is to work with who you are instead of fighting against it. Through practical sleep coaching, I help clients use the Sleep Skills for Life approach to retrain their bodies and minds to sleep naturally again. My approach focuses on developing practical and personalised Sleep Skills so you can overcome insomnia naturally and confidently.
In our conversation, Brad and I also discussed how busy professionals and high performers can improve sleep and performance. Many people rely on technology late into the evening. Others keep thinking through problems instead of slowing down. These habits can keep you alert when your body needs to rest. By understanding those patterns, you can build new routines that help your system wind down in time for sleep.
