This exercise stretches the anterior, middle and posterior scalene muscles of the neck.
1. Stand with your back against a wall, making sure your shoulders and head are making contact with the wall
2. Using your left hand, depress your right shoulder
3. Gently bring your ear toward your left shoulder
4. Slowly start to look down at your left shoulder
5. Finally look toward your right shoulder and up towards the ceiling
6. Ensure that your shoulders and head keep in contact with the wall throughout the whole movement
