A look at the sites of the former stations on the Ponkey Branch, opened by the Great Western Railway serving the former mining villages of Ponciau, Rhosllanerchrugog and Johnstown near Wrexham in North Wales.
The branch was open from the 1860s until 1964, with a short lived passenger service between 1905 and 1915. Three halts were opened at Ponkey Crossing, Aberferfyn and Fennant Road.
