With these fresh chives, I am going to flavor our Oyakodon. This is a bowl of rice topped with chicken and half-cooked eggs. The name of this dish deserves an explanation, 親子 丼 literally means the parent-child bowl, actually we eat chicken and egg.

👩🍳 Ingredients for 4 people
5 chicken thighs
4 eggs
20g kombu seaweed
¼ tsp salt
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp mirin
1 tsp dashi powder
1 onion
10g chives
1 nori seaweed sheet
Shichimi powder (optional)
Rice:
450g short grain rice (Japan or Italy)
50cl water
Seaweed Salad Vinaigrette :
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp white rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Toasted sesame seeds
