Much of the neck, lower back and knee strain many people experience is due to tightness in the pelvis, hip and upper leg regions. When one habitually tightens these muscles it becomes difficult to efficiently bend at the hip joints. As a result, simple everyday activities such as sitting and standing become difficult and effortful.
In this segment of "A.T. at Home", we will be explaining where the hip joint is located, some common habits of tightening the hips, and how to use the hip joints in a manner that allows the act of sitting and standing to be light and effortless.
