Rich And Flavorful Beef Tomato Stew On Rice
1 and 1/2 to 2 pounds of beef stew cubed by one inch
1 large onion
4 small stalks of celery, including the heart and small leaves inside
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 cup of ketchup
1 tablespoon of yellow mustard
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
salt to taste if needed (some ingredients have salt)
Put all the ingredients into a medium pot with the lid on and bake in a 350℉ oven for one hour. Remove the lid and turn the temperature up to 400℉ oven. When you see that the top of the beef that is sticking out turns brownish, mix. Each time this happens, turn it. Cook for about 3 hours or until the onions and celery are not very visible, and the beef is tender and has fallen apart but still remains with some chunks.
This is my family's favorite home style dinner ever. It is wholesome, tasty, and rich in flavor! I always serve it with rice as it is my favorite way! I first made this dish about 20 years ago, and it is my own recipe. I never change a thing!
