In this video, Dr Irfan Ahmed PT, who has seen more than a hundred ACL Reconstructions, is sharing his experience. He is conducting a session on a patient who underwent ACL Reconstruction two weeks ago. In first 4 weeks, goals and targets of ACL Reconstruction are good quads control, no flexion contracture, 0°-140° and normal walk. To achieve these targets, the physiotherapist should perform exercises in a very dedicated way and the patient should remain very cooperative. He is giving very simple and basic exercises like Quads control, Isometric quads, Straight Leg Raise, Calf Stretch and Hamstring Stretch and Knee Bending. After 4 to 6 Weeks, ACL Reconstruction Patient should do gym workout to improve strength, cardio fitness and endurance. After 4 months, the patient can focus on sport specific training. After 9 months of ACL Surgery, patient can resume sport specific training. APRC Physiotherapy department is trying to deliver best available evidence-based exercises to their patients. If you do these exercises carefully at home, you will get excellent results.
