30 Min Yin Yoga for Athletes | Rest, Recovery & Injury Prevention | Improve Flexibility & Mobility

This 35 minute Yin sequence is ideal for athletes, particularly runners, jumpers and anyone who has recently completed a lower body workout. Practicing Yin on your rest days will aid recovery between sessions and also help to prevent injuries. It can also help to improve your mobility and flexibility. We will hold each pose for a couple of minutes in order to stretch out tight muscles and really get into the connective tissues.
Although Yin is a slower practice, it can still be quite challenging for both the body and mind. Some discomfort is normal when holding poses for this length of time. Try to stay with these sensations and observe any emotions that may arise. You should not feel any pain, however. Feel free to come out and take child's pose if needed, at any time during this practice.
You won’t need any props, although you may like to use a block or a folded blanket if you have one handy.
