Here I share some great breathing techniques for running to help you breath more effectively, and run for longer with greater ease!

We've recently been thinking about how we can breathe more fully, to benefit from greater oxygen intake. Today, I'll show you a breathing exercise that will help to enhance your lung capacity even further.
Take a comfortable sit, where you can sit up tall - on the floor against a wall, or in a chair. It's important that you can sit comfortably to do this. Remember to not strain your breath - I'm going to count the length of the inhale and the exhales, starting at 4 seconds. That might be where you feel most comfortable staying. If it feels easy enough to do so, follow me as I lengthen the count by a second every two rounds, up to 7 seconds. We'll then go back down each round to 4.
With some regular practice, that definitely becomes easier and will enhance awareness, focus and concentration as well as breathing.
