If you are struggling with ongoing hip flexor tightness, try the Modified Thomas test to tell if your hip flexors are actually tight.
Even if they are tight, they would likely benefit from a loading program like the exercises demonstrated.
Half-Kneeling Isometric Holds (1:30) - maintain elongated spine, arms-length from the wall. Lift front leg a few inches off the ground. Hold for 10-15 sec holds, perform 5-6 reps and then try the other side.
Banded Marches (2:40) - perform this movement slow and controlled. Once comfortable feel free to progress to a more ballistic movement with quick hip flexion followed by a slow return.
Standing Hip Flexion Unassisted (3:20) - part of the 4-way hip matrix we have covered previously. This movement focuses specifically on the hip flexors.
