Thoracic outlet syndrome is where nerves are pinched between the collar bone and the top of the ribcage, possibly causing arm numbness, tingling and loss of strength. It can be caused by slouching in front of a computer for long periods of time.
One possible solution to thoracic outlet syndrome is to practice hanging from an overhead bar with both hands or one hand. Note that hanging can also be a good way to counter act other negative affects from too much sitting in a chair.
In this video I talk about different variations of hanging, all with feet on the ground so that you can work gradually towards hanging with full body weight and hopefully help negate the effects of thoracic outlet syndrome.
I also talk about isolating your awareness and focusing on how you use your fingers, elbows, shoulders and even the muscles of your ribcage to make it easier to hang with elbows straight with either one hand or both.
Note, this isn't meant to substitute for medical advice, and like anything you find on the internet, take it with a grain of salt.
