One of the common reason of wrist fracture is fall on outstretched hand. In children, it is common because of high risks sports and cycling. In adults, it is commonly due to road accidents and sports. At old age, even a light fall can cause risk fracture due to osteoporosis. Diagnosis of wrist fracture is made with X-Rays. Treatment of wrist fractures is based on types of wrist fracture. Common treatment options are removable splint. Shot arm cast, long arm cast, open reduction internal fixation and external fixator for open wounds. Due to immobilization of 3-4 weeks. Wrist and hand get stiff. Exercises are very important to get full range of motion of wrist, hand and fingers.
